Laser Bliss by Jacky ("we", "us") is a laser hair reduction studio at 19 Perceval Cres, Taylors Lakes VIC 3038, run by Jacqueline (Jacky) Haidar. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, who it's shared with, and how to contact us about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, for health information, the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic).
What we collect, and why
- Booking details. When you book through the "Book" buttons you're taken to Square Appointments, which collects your name, contact details, the service and time you choose, and any payment. We use this to run your appointment, send reminders and keep a record of your visits.
- Callback requests. If you leave your name and mobile number in the chat's "Prefer a callback?" form (and optionally what you're interested in), we use it only to call or text you back, within one business day.
- Chat messages. Questions you type into the website assistant are sent to our AI provider to generate an answer. The assistant only answers from our published prices and information. Please don't type medical or other sensitive details into the chat — for anything personal we'll suggest a free consultation instead.
- Consultation and treatment records. At your consultation we collect health information relevant to laser hair reduction (for example skin type, medications, medical history). This is health information under Victorian law. It's collected on paper or in Square, used only to treat you safely, and kept for the period the law requires.
- Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookie-free) and Google Analytics 4 to see page views and which buttons are used (for example how many people tap "Book"). Google Analytics sets a first-party cookie (
_ga) to tell returning visitors apart, uses a truncated IP address, and is not linked to your name or booking. You can block it with a browser setting or extension and the site still works.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the services that run this website and the studio:
- Square (Block, Inc.) — online booking, appointment reminders, payments and client records. Square's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts this website, protects it and provides the analytics above. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Anthropic, PBC — provides the AI model behind the website assistant. Your chat messages are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply. Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Google — Google Analytics 4 (page views and button clicks), the map link opens Google Maps, and our fonts load from Google Fonts. Google's privacy policy.
Some of these providers store data outside Australia (mainly the United States). By using this website or booking with us, you consent to that overseas handling for the purposes above.
Cookies
The only cookies this website sets are Google Analytics' first-party measurement cookies (see above). Square's booking page uses its own cookies to complete your booking; see Square's policy for details.
Keeping it safe
The website is served over HTTPS. Booking and payment details are handled by Square and never stored by us in plain form. Callback requests go straight to Jacky and are deleted once you've been contacted. Health records are stored securely and only Jacky has access.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law lets us. You can book by phone instead of online if you prefer. To do any of this, or to raise a privacy concern, contact Jacky at laserblissbyjacky@gmail.com or 0411 424 327. We'll respond within one business day and resolve most requests within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or, for health records, the Health Complaints Commissioner (Victoria).
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
